我不知道電動拖車頭會開始普及在馬路上,但是毫無疑問趨勢已經無法擋,就像幾年前嘲笑電動車一樣,現在尷尬的卻是我們。而隨著Tesla Semi 的正式上巿,首購的百事可樂的21輛Semi車隊也已成形,Walmart和Fedex也下單了不少,但它在美國高速公路還是稀有的存在,除非到加州的唐納山口(Donner Pass)就有機會看到,因為Tesla天天都這邊”滿載負重”測試:

I had some thoughts about how to (safely) capture some video of the Tesla Semi vs diesel semi’s going up a steep grade. The average grade ascending the Donner Pass is 7% up to 16%. 加州的這段唐納山口(Donner Pass),平均坡度為 7至16度而且還有幾處彎道,大型車輛在此行駛會更顯吃力,不過號稱零百加速可以20秒完成,3馬達Tesla Semi 的馬力和扭力相較似乎更大,但是其它路上的卡車有沒使出全力也不可知,可能故意等它通過然後拍照上傳也說不定。
總而言之,Tesla Semi 絕對是顛覆卡車世界的產品,但畢竟別廠已是累積數十年的造車經驗,Semi多測試個幾年也屬正常!
