德國知名運動雜誌Sport Auto 將458 Spider票選為2013 Sport Auto Awards最佳敞篷跑車 (15萬歐元以上級別) ； 458 Spider 延續 Ferrari 長期以來中置V8引擎敞篷的傳統，並且為首部採用折疊式硬頂的中置引擎敞篷跑車，完美結合性能與品味。本車所配備的最大馬力570PS 4.5升V8引擎也在2011和2012連續兩年獲得國際引擎大賞，年度最佳引擎(International Engine of the Year, Best performance Engine)。

為了使駕乘者在整個敞篷駕駛過程中都享有最佳舒適度，458 Spider的後部採用獨具特色的創新拱形設計，並配備了寬大的可調節式電動擋風板。這項絶妙的設計是此款車型的重點，可以有效減緩駕駛艙中的空氣流動，確保最佳空氣動力性能並降低艙內噪音。
